Seven New Courses Online!

Since the beginning of the 2004 year, LTTS has added seven new courses to make a total of 50 courses now available for immediate enrollment! Six of these courses follow our latest design focus on developing more content-based courses while the seventh in the list, How can I support my students in creating their own videos to enhance content learning?, focuses on strategies for integrating technology to enhance all content areas. The new titles are:

SC206: Meteorology and the Internet
How can I integrate technology to implement a thematic unit on weather?

SO205: Current Events on the Internet
How can I develop a unit to help students understand their roles and responsibilities as U.S. citizens?

SO402: Multiculturalism and Economics
How can I help my students use the Internet to develop a better understanding of global cultural economic differences?

SO301: Using Primary Sources on the Internet
How do I help my students understand historical bias and become critical consumers of information?

MA103: Algebraic Reasoning
What is algebraic reasoning, and why and how do I incorporate algebraic reasoning into my classroom?

MA104: Supporting Algebraic Reasoning in the Elementary Classroom
How do I design a lesson that promotes problem solving and algebraic reasoning?

TE011: Video Production
How can I support my students in creating their own videos to enhance content learning?

Each of our courses is developed to meet not only current technology integration standards, but also provide guidance to help teachers align their lessons to local, state and national content standards.

Our Course Catalog provides a full list of courses available; you can enroll in a course straight from the catalog. We have organized our course catalog into content areas such as Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. Check it out at: http://ltts.indiana.edu.

For all LTTS courses, you may enroll for graduate credit from Indiana University or, in most states, for continuing education units.
